A Galloway Township teen was killed when he was hit by an SUV and thrown off his electric scooter, authorities said. Stephen Johnson III, 19, died in the crash on West White Horse Pike on Friday, June 7, the Galloway Township Police Department said in a news release. Officers found Johnson dead in the road near the intersection of West Jimmie Leeds Road at around 1:30 a.m. Investigators said a Galloway man was driving a Toyota RAV4 west on West White Horse Pike when he hit Johnson on his e-scooter in the travel lane. Child On Scooter Struck By Car In Middletown: Police
A 12-year-old boy on a scooter was struck by a car in Middletown, authorities said. On Thursday, June 16, at 2:02 p.m., the Middletown Township Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a car that struck a boy operating an electric scooter. The crash occurred the intersection of Cherry Tree Farm Road and Chanowich Court. The boy was transported to Hackensack Meridan Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune by ambulance. : South Jersey Police Investigate Fatal Electric Scooter Crash
UPDATED: Authorities were investigating a crash in which a man riding an electric scooter in Burlington County was killed early Thursday. A man in his 30s was struck on Indel Avenue at Woodlane Road in Westampton about 6 a.m., according to initial reports. The victim's name had not been released. The man, who was reportedly thrown 100 feet from the impact, was pronounced dead at the crash scene, Westampton police said. The car's driver pulled over a short distance from the crash, police said.
