A North Jersey family is mourning the loss of the "center of their universe." Lauren Marek of West Caldwell died on Dec. 19 at Mountainside Medical Center in Glen Ridge, her obituary says. She was 35 years old. Marek was married to John Marek and was the mother of Audrey, 7, and John, 4. A GoFundMe page launched for Marek's family had raised $35,000 as of Tuesday evening. "Lauren was a kind and compassionate person who was always first in line to help anyone in need," the page reads. Noah Schnapp, University of Pennsylvania, Class of 2026. Netflix's "Stranger Things" rocked a Wharton UPenn hoodie and held hands with his twin sister Chloe, while opening his acceptance letter on his laptop in a video posted to TikTok, as originally reported by Page Six. The 17-year-old Scarsdale native plays Will Byers on "Stranger Things." The show's fourth season is set to premiere next year, when Schnapp begins classes at the Ivy League school.

A beloved teacher and assistant football coach was found dead at Woodbridge High School on Wednesday after suffering a medical episode. Woodbridge Superintendent Joseph Massimino posted a letter to staff and parents about the death of longtime business teacher Jeffrey Grimm. He was 45 years old. The principal of a Pennsylvania high school died in a New Jersey crash while driving his son to a soccer game, district officials said. Sean A. Hughes, who has served as principal of Lower Merion High School for the past 14 years, was behind the wheel of a Ford SUV that collided with a Mercedes Benz SUV in Winslow Township early Saturday morning, local police said. A 68-year-old teacher from Hudson County is facing additional and upgraded charges in the sexual assaults of two students, authorities said. Apparao Sunkara was arrested at his Hicksville, Long Island home on March 16, and charged with abusing an 11-year-old victim at the Infinity Institute, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
