A 27-year-old man from Staten Island has been sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison for eluding police, authorities said. Antwan McPhatter was sentenced in connection with an incident that occurred in Seaside Heights on August 19, 2021. A driver from Middlesex County was charged with assault by auto and DUI after sending a motorcyclist to the hospital in a Flemington crash, authorities announced. Christopher Grohens, 33, of Spotswood, was charged with assault by auto, DUI, reckless driving, and following too closely, Flemington Borough Police said in a press release on Tuesday, Oct. 25. Drunk driving charges against Ian Smith, a former gym owner known for defying state COVID orders, have been dismissed, the New Jersey Globe reports. A Pennsylvania man didn't seem too upset about his recent arrest based on his mugshot Jonathan Shaffer, of Phoenixville, beams in the photo after West Chester police charged him for DUI. Shaffer, 25, was pulled over around 2:30 a.m. on May 3, when police saw spotted him driving erratically on the 400 Block of E. Market St. in the city, they said.
