A driver was high on marijuana when he caused a crash in Atlantic County over the weekend, police said.
Egg Harbor Township police said officers responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries on Westcoat Road near the Garden State Parkway around 6:48 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, local police said.
Aden Gallegos, 20, of Galloway, made an abrupt U-turne and struck another car driven by a 30-year-old from Northfield, police said.

Jersey Shore Woman, 30, Indicted In Fatal Head-On Crash: Prosecutor
A 30-year-old woman from Monmouth County has been indicted for causing the death of another woman while driving under the influence, authorities said.
Ashley Watkins, of Eatontown, was indicted for vehicular homicide, strict liability vehicular homicide and assault by auto, they said.
The fatal crash occurred on May 9, 2021, in Brick Township, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
Killed in the crash was Nancy Penrod, 78, of Brick, Billhimer said.

Police Officer Busted On DUI Charge: Authorities
A patrolman has been arrested for driving under the influence, according to a release by police and public records.
Daniel A. Benscics, 33, of Bethlehem, was arrested following a traffic stop on Dec. 12 at 2 a.m., according to Lititz Borough police.
Benscics was initially stopped for unsafe driving, but with police for he was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, he was taken into custody, as stated in the release. He blew a 0.190% Breath Alcohol Content during his breathalyzer test for evidence, according to the release.

NJ Driver Indicted In Crash That Killed Baby, Parents
A New Jersey driver was indicted by a grand jury on 15 counts in a crash that killed a baby and his parents last year.
Modesto Pino was under the influence and speeding when he ran a stop sign in Vineland, colliding with an SUV on Nov. 1, 2020, authorities said.
The occupants of the SUV were identified as Iban Garcia-Ruiz, 30, his wife, Elisa Perez-Hernandez, 32, and their two children, of Bridgeton, police said.
The children were hospitalized with injuries suffered in the crash, and 1-year-old Ivan later died.

A New Jersey woman is facing 12 to 24 years behind bars for driving drunk into oncoming traffic on Interstate 95 in Pennsylvania leaving three people dead, authorities said.
Priscilla Cortez, 34, of Camden, was heading southbound on the highway when she struck a car carrying Ryan Connell, 28, Leanne Popson, 35, both of the Levittown area, and Lucas Gelatko, 36, of Yardley, near mile marker 33 around 1:40 a.m. April 1, 2020, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.

A 32-year-old man was killed by a 21-year-old drunk driver earlier this week on Route 1, authorities said.
Arsalan Gul, of Edison, was behind the wheel of an Infiniti sedan when he struck a Honda Civic, which went into a Lexus SUV on impact in the southbound lanes of the highway in New Brunswick around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Director Anthony A. Caputo said.
The Civic driver -- Brian O’Donnell, 32, of Robinsville -- was pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Caputo said.
