Teen Drivers Were Racing Before Fatal Central Jersey Crash: Prosecutor Two teenagers have been charged in connection in a fatal crash that occurred as they were racing their cars, authorities said. The fatal crash occurred on Jan. 20, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan. Victims Of Deadly Edison Crash Identified Authorities have released the names of the victims killed in an Edison crash. Ziyad Elsaedi, 21, of North Plainfield, was heading southbound in Route 1 when he struck a tree at Jeff Street around 10:15 p.m., on Feb. 6, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan said. Meyvelin Nunez-Lopez, 19, of Plainfield — who was in the front passenger seat — died. Two other passengers were critically injured, authorities said. 18-Year-Old Driver Killed In Route 1 Central Jersey Crash: Prosecutor An 18-year-old driver died after her vehicle struck a vacant building on Route 1 in Edison, authorities said. Diana Somarriba, of South Brunswick, sent her car into a building on the southbound side of Route 1 near Fox Road around 10:25 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan said.
