Shooting Investigated In Central Jersey: Prosecutor
Authorities are investigating a shooting that took place in Perth Amboy. On Friday, Feb. 11 at 5:24 P.M., Perth Amboy police responded to the train tracks near New Brunswick Avenue for a shooting. Police found Jonathan Molina, 22, of Perth Amboy with a gunshot wound, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Acting Chief Larry Cattano of the Perth Amboy Police Department. Two people were killed, and two others were critically hurt, when their vehicle struck a tree in Central Jersey, authorities said. On Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 10:17 p.m., Edison police responded to Route 1 at Jeff Street for a crash, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan. The woman who died alongside her 9-month-old son after their car was found in a Central Jersey pond had been mourning the loss of her own father, according to her posts on social media. A New Jersey man is accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend dead and then turning the knife on himself Tuesday night in, authorities said. Yajaira Moreno, 33, and Juan Alvarado, 39, of Elizabeth, were both found dead in a house on Jacob Street in Old Bridge just after 11:15 p.m., Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said in a joint release Thursday. Police: Armed North Brunswick Robber Leads Pursuit
An accused North Brunswick robber armed with a handgun was arrested after leading police on a high-speed chase on Route 522, authorities said. Zaire Cromedy, 28, is accused of carrying out a gunpoint robbery at Robeson Village in New Brunswick on May 31, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said in a Wednesday release.
