Beloved Toms River Native Dies Suddenly, 30 Beloved Toms River native Paul Christian Bencivenga died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 13. He was 30. Born and raised in Toms River, Paul graduated from Toms River Schools, his obituary says. Paul was known for his caring personality, ability to make others smile, and love for his friends and family. “Although Paul’s life was short, he touched the lives of so many with his kindness and generous heart,” reads his memorial. Father Of 4-Year-Old South Jersey Boy Killed By Self-Inflicted Gunshot Charged Authorities have jailed the father of a 4-year-old South Jersey boy who was killed by a self-inflicted gunshot earlier this month. Andrew Mack, a 31-year-old active duty member of the U.S. Navy, went to sleep with the loaded 9mm handgun next to him the night of Feb. 7, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said Wednesday.
