Monmouth County Man Found Floating In Hackensack River: Prosecutor
A 49-year-old Cliffwood man was found floating in the Hackensack River on Tuesday, Jan. 28, authorities said. At 4:30 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department was notified of a body floating underneath the Pulaski Skyway and Bryan Linington was found floating in the water, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Linington was removed from the water by the Jersey City Fire Department and pronounced dead at 7:30 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. A 52-year-old Toms River man was found dead at Shelter Cove Park on the afternoon on Sunday, Jan. 12, authorities said. At 3:05 p.m., police responded to Shelter Cove Park on a report of a dead body in the water adjacent to the coastal marsh, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said. Authorities have identified a Leesburg man whose body was discovered on a conveyor belt at a Monmouth County recycling facility. A South Jersey charter school was closed Wednesday, Sept. 18 after a custodian was found dead as staff arrived, according to authorities. The body was that of a woman maintenance worker at the Mastery High School on Erie Street in Camden, Dan Keashen, a spokesman for Camden County, said on Thursday, Sept. 19 as school reopened. A person was found dead near the shoreline of Barnegat Lighthouse State Park, officials said. State park police were dispatched to the area at around 1:50 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, a state Department of Environmental Protection spokesperson said. The person's body was discovered off the western shore of the High Bar Harbor section in Long Beach Island Township. The body was sent to the Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office. An autopsy will be performed to identify the person and the cause of death. Barnegat Lighthouse was first illuminated in 1859, NJDEP also said.

A woman was found dead along the oceanfront near the Atlantic City Boardwalk, authorities said. The woman's body was found next to a jetty behind the Flagship Resort on North Maine Avenue on Thursday, Aug. 1, a spokesperson from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office confirmed. Wildwood Crest police responded to the beach near Myrtle Road at around 6:20 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, the department said in a news release. Jersey Shore House Fire, Man's Death Ruled Not Suspicious: Officials
An Ocean City house fire and the death of a person found at the home are not considered suspicious, officials said. A city spokesperson said there were no "suspicious or intentional" factors about the fire. It happened on the 1900 block of Asbury Avenue at around 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 15. The body of a 36-year-old man from Central Jersey was recovered from a lake, authorities said. The deceased man was identified as Trinidad Perez, of Jamesburg, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone. Human remains were found by a transportation department worker on Route 80, state police confirmed. The NJDOT worker was mowing the grass when the remains were found near the eastbound lanes on the right shoulder in the grass at milepost 16.6 in Allamuchy shortly after 12:25 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan told DailyVoice.com.
