Remnants of Hurricane Ida is posing a risk of tornados and flooding across parts of New Jersey and the Philadelphia area Wednesday.
Thunderstorms are largely possible across Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean counties in the afternoon -- which could turn into tornados, according to the National Weather Service.

A 39-year-old hitchhiker from South Jersey has been found guilty of fatally shooting a motorist who gave him a ride, authorities said.
Jule L. Hannah, of Bridgeton, was convicted on Friday after a week-long jury trial, according to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae.
Hannah was charged with first-degree murder and weapons offenses in the Jan. 15, 2017, shooting death of Miguel “Chuito” Lopez Jr.

A second person was arrested and a third victim died following a birthday party shooting over the weekend in Cumberland County, authorities announced.
Darrell Dawkins, 30, of Bridgeton, was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun days after Kevin Dawkins, 36, was arrested on similar charges, New Jersey State Police said.
The younger Dawkins was not believed to be a shooter in the incident, in which 14 people were struck by gunfire.
