Injuries Reported In NJ Turnpike Tractor-Trailer Crash There was a tractor-trailer crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in South Jersey, authorities said.  The crash occurred at 6:27 a.m. Wednesday, June 29 southbound near milepost 1.1 in Carneys Point Township. There were no serious injuries, New Jersey State Police said. Based on a preliminary investigation a tractor-trailer rear-ended another tractor-trailer stopped in traffic. North Carolina Man Killed When Tractor-Trailer Crashes On Turnpike A tractor-trailer driver from North Carolina was killed in a fiery crash on the NJ Turnpike Tuesday, June 14, authorities said. Randy Wayne Morgan, 59, of Biscoe, NC was driving north on the highway approaching the Interchange 1 toll plaza in Carneys Point Township around 3:20 a.m. when he struck a concrete barrier that separates the first and second toll lanes, New Jersey State Police Trooper Brandi Slota said. Driver Killed In Fiery I-295 South Jersey Crash: State Police A driver was killed after his car caught fire on Interstate 295 in Salem County, authorities said.  The crash occurred at 10:29 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 southbound near milepost 5.6 in Carneys Point Township, according to State Police. A black Honda left the roadway and struck a tree, police said. The Honda became engulfed in flames and the driver sustained fatal injuries, police said. No one else was in the car. The driver's identity had not been determined as of Monday morning.

Kastarra Sha Quinta Lawrence, 23, of Augusta, Georgia, was killed, State Police said. State Police ID Driver Killed On I-295 In South Jersey Authorities have released the name of a Camden County man killed when his car struck a concrete barrier in Salem County. Anthony Joy Jr., 58, of Pine Hill, was driving a Nissan Sentra south on Interstate 295 in Carneys Point Township shortly before 8 a.m. on March 20, according to Trooper Charles Marchan, a New Jersey State Police spokesman.  In the area of milepost 1.3 the Nissan struck a curbed median and concrete barrier, Marchan said. Joy was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.

NJ Men Indicted In Deadly House Party Shooting Two men from South Jersey have been indicted in a double-shooting that left one victim dead and another wounded during a party, according to NJ Advance Media. Kiyon B. Johnson, 22, of Salem, and Rayneer T. Foster, 25, of Penns Grove, were indicted by a Salem County grand jury for first-degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons offenses, the outlet said. Bryant Banks, 23, of Salem City, died after being shot on Oct. 2, 2020. A man from Carneys Point Township and Johnson also were wounded in the clash.
