A beach in Cape May was shut down after a man was found dead, authorities said. Cape May police found the roughly 50-year-old man's body early in the morning on Monday, Aug. 26, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland said in a news release. His body was discovered on Cove Beach near the end of Beach Drive. The man's death wasn't considered suspicious. "There is no threat to the public and the preliminary investigation has revealed no foul play is involved," Sutherland said. Hit-And-Run Suspect Ditched Damaged Vehicle In Cape May Intersection, Police Say
A Camden County man was accused of injuring a pedestrian in a hit-and-run crash in Cape May, authorities said. Brandon Rollans, 25, of Blackwood, was arrested on Wednesday, July 31, the Cape May Police Department said in a news release. An officer saw him driving a vehicle with a damaged windshield and rear near the intersection of Lafayette Street and Sidney Avenue at around 11:46 a.m. Investigators said Rollans refused to stop for the officer and eventually abandoned the vehicle in the intersection of Beach Avenue and Ocean Street. Thieves stole more than $300,000 of high-end handbags and other merchandise, a Cape May jewelry store said. Queen May posted surveillance video on Instagram showing two people breaking through a glass front door at around 2:59 a.m. on Sunday, May 5. Woman Hit Child With Skee-Ball At Jersey Shore Arcade: Police
Cape May police seek the public's help in identifying the woman in the white dress. She was involved in a disagreement with another patron of the arcade.
