Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man in South Jersey, authorities said. Malik Nath of Camden was taken by police to Cooper University Medical Center on Thursday, July 7, they said. A 20-year-old man from Camden has been charged with murder and weapons offenses for the fatal shooting of a 31-year-old man last week, authorities said. Guns For Cash? Firearms 'Buy-Back' This Weekend In South Jersey
Camden is among eight buy-back sites statewide for gun owners to turn in firearms for cash, authorities said. Camden's gun trade-in is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church, 690 Ferry Ave. Anonymity is promised for those trading in firearms for up to $250 cash per weapon, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. The 66-year-old pedestrian struck and fatally injured by a police car in South Jersey last week has been identified, authorities said. Zandra Baez of Camden was pronounced dead shortly after the collision on June 9, according to state Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal.
