Woman Killed In Crash Near South Jersey Shopping Center, Police Say An Egg Harbor Township woman was killed in a crash near a Mays Landing shopping center, authorities said. Elizabeth Walton, 41, died in the crash on Thursday, June 13, the Township of Hamilton Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to the intersection of Black Horse Pike and Hamilton Commons Drive at around 7:51 p.m. Investigators said Walton was driving a 2006 Nissan Altima west on Black Horse Pike when she didn't stop at the intersection's red light. Fortunately, all the hotel's guests and staff escaped without injury, police in Gloucester Township said.  The blaze broke out about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Howard Johnson Inn at 832 North Black Horse Pike, initial reports said.
