Two Atlantic City teens were arrested after they assaulted a delivery driver and stole his vehicle, authorities said. Atlantic City police responded to the report of a carjacking on Sewell Avenue at 2:57 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, the department announced in a news release on Tuesday, Feb. 13. Officers found the 35-year-old male delivery driver suffering from injuries in the assault. Investigators said the man was making a delivery when he saw a teen boy trying to steal his vehicle. An elderly pedestrian was fatally hit by a car while crossing a road in Atlantic County, authorities said. Ventnor City police responded to Wellington Avenue near the Ventnor Plaza shopping center at around 6:25 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9. Four people were injured when their vehicle crashed into a tree in Cape May County, authorities said. Officers responded to the wreck on Swainton-Goshen Road near Green Holly Campground just before 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, the Middle Township police announced on Monday, Jan. 29. Authorities have released the name of the Pennsylvania man shot by police in Atlantic County last week. Amir Johnson, 30, of Wilkes Barre, PA, died as a result of police gunfire on Thursday, State Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said.
