The mother of a former New Jersey track star and motorcyclist killed in a crash over the summer has filed a lawsuit against the other driver involved. Jeremiah Saint Surin, 19, was killed when his motorcycle collided with an SUV the intersection of West Jersey Avenue and Cates Road in Egg Harbor Township around 6:15 p.m. Saturday, June 1, as previously reported by Daily Voice. The family of a teen girl is suing McDonald's, saying an Atlantic City restaurant employee refused to serve them, made a racist comment, and discriminated against the girl because of a disability. According to court documents, the high school student and her parents visited Atlantic City to celebrate her birthday in May 2019. At least four people have joined a class-action lawsuit filed against a North Jersey company accused of selling bogus COVID-19 tests in at least one South Jersey location, NorthJersey.com reports. Filed Dec. 15 in Atlantic County Superior Court, the suit alleges Infinity Diagnostic Labs -- headquartered in Teterboro -- advertised antibody tests as $75 rapid coronavirus tests. The Atlantic City firefighters union has filed a lawsuit saying the city took an "ineffective approach" to handling the COVID-19 pandemic after 65 firefighters were exposed to the virus.
