Jersey Shore Man Arrested In Road Rage Incident: Police
A 24-year-old driver from Point Pleasant was arrested in connection with a road rage incident and fleeing Brick police, authorities said. Jonathan Weydig was arrested with the assistance of Point Pleasant police, according to Brick police. Weydig had six outstanding warrants and was charged with eluding officers, obstruction and hindering apprehension, police said. Weydig also was issued 12 motor vehicle summonses, they said. On May 12, Brick Street Crimes Unit detectives were traveling in an unmarked vehicle at Route 88 and Post Road when they observed a road rage incident, police said. …

Bloodied Suspect Struck Grandmother With Weight Or Statue, Prosecutor Says
The suspect in the killing of his grandmother allegedly struck her with a heavy object, authorities said. Cyril Lloyd, 26, of Carteret. was charged with murdering the 77-year-old woman, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office. A five-pound weight and a statue, both with blood on them, were found at the crime scene, said Brynn Krause, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor. Four suspects have been arrested following a shoplifting incident and foot chase, authorities said. Monday, April 17 at approximately 3:45 PM, the East Brunswick Police Department was notified of a shoplifting in progress at Ulta Beauty at 601 Highway 18.
