A person was hospitalized after a shed caught fire in Ocean County, authorities said. Manchester Township police responded to a structure fire on Riverside Drive at around 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, the department said in a news release. Officers found a shed in the side yard of a home fully on fire. Officers evacuated everyone from the house and paramedics took one person to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. The 77-year-old victim of a fire caused by a faulty dishwasher has been identified. Janet Conroy died in the fire at her home at 1 Miles Pond Road in Berkeley Township on Thursday, July 20, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. A fire that killed one person and critically injured another in Manchester has been ruled accidental, authorities said. A "smoking material" had been thrown into the trash on a patio and set the dwelling on fire, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Authorities on Monday identified a resident killed in a weekend apartment fire at a senior living community in Ridgewood. The body of Denise Dillon, 72, was found after firefighters doused the flames in her unit at the Ridgecrest Senior Housing development on Ridge Road shortly after 7:30 p.m., Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke said. NJ State Police Identify Woman, 61, Killed In Electrical House Fire
A 61-year-old woman from South Jersey was killed in a house fire, authorities said. The fire was reported at 6:13 p.m. Wednesday at a residence on Hands Mills Road in Maurice River Township, Cumberland County, according to New Jersey State Police.
