Two men were injured in two different falls at the same time in Frankford Township on Tuesday, Oct. 29, authorities said. At 6:43 p.m., troopers responded after a 60-year-old man fell off a ladder at a residence on Morris Avenue, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. A New York State Police trooper is recovering after being shot on a Long Island highway. The incident happened on the Southern State Parkway in West Hempstead, in the westbound lanes near exit 17, late Wednesday night, Oct. 30. A pedestrian was seriously injured after they were struck by a motor vehicle in Raritan on the evening of Sunday, Oct. 27, authorities said. At 7:47 p.m., officers responded to Route 31 and East Main Street and found a 52-year-old Stockton woman struck by a vehicle, Raritan police said. The woman was attempting to cross Route 31 from the northbound side when she was struck by a silver-colored Honda Fit, police said. The Honda Fit was traveling northbound on Route 31, police said. Woman Airlifted In Route 80 Crash:

A woman had to be airlifted to a nearby hospital after a crash on Route 80, the early morning of Monday, Oct. 28, state police said. At 2:56 a.m., a Madza SUV was traveling westbound on Route 80 in Rockaway Township when it entered the right shoulder and crashed into the back of an unoccupied truck, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver, a 28-year-old Kenvil woman, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

Sussex County Man Airlifted After ATV Crash:

A 21-year-old Sussex County man had to be airlifted to a hospital after an ATV crash on the evening of Saturday, Oct. 19, authorities said. At 10:57 p.m., police responded to a property on East Shore Culver Road in Frankford Township after a Honda Fortrax ATV entered the roadway, lost directional control and the driver fell from the vehicle, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver, a Branchville resident, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital, LeBron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

A 49-year-old pilot from New Jersey was killed in a plane crash in Savannah, GA last weekend, officials announced. One Hospitalized In Sparta House Fire: Police
One person was hospitalized following a house fire in Sparta on the evening of Monday, Oct. 14, authorities said. Firefighters responded to 190 West Shore Trail and worked to extinguish the blaze, Sparta police said in a release. One of the residents had to be transported to a nearby hospital with minor burns and smoke inhalation, police said. Nearly 2,600 people employed by a North Jersey hospital chain are expected to be laid off by the end of the year, according to a newly-filed WARN notice.
