Vehicle Fire Shuts Down I-287 South In Central Jersey, Significant Delays Expected:

A vehicle fire on Interstate 287 in Edison Township has forced the closure of all lanes and the right shoulder, causing significant traffic delays during the morning commute, officials said. The vehicle fire erupted on I-287 South just south of Exit 2 at around 9:35 a.m., the state Department of Transportation said. All lanes and the right shoulder were closed as emergency crews responded to the scene. Drivers in the area should expect delays of 10 to 15 minutes and consider alternate routes if possible. Crash, Vehicle Fire Blocks Garden State Parkway (

A crash and vehicle fire partially blocked the Garden State Parkway in Central Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 10 a.m. on Monday, July 29 southbound south of Exit 131 in Woodbridge Township, according to the NJDOT. Two right lanes were blocked, 511nj.org reported. Six People Injured In Seven-Vehicle Crash In Central Jersey
Six people were injured in a crash on a busy road in Monmouth County, authorities said. Holmdel police responded to the crash near the intersection of Route 35 and Laurel Avenue at around 1:17 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, the department said in a news release. Officers found seven vehicles involved with one vehicle smoking, as well as large amounts of oil and gas leaking into the road. All six victims didn't suffer life-threatening injuries, according to police.
