19-Year-Old Fatally Shot In Jersey City: Prosecutor A 19-year-old was fatally shot in Jersey City on Friday, Oct. 11, authorities said. Around 5 p.m., Jersey City police responded to Garfield Avenue and Brown Place and found Kashyne Grant with a gunshot wound to the upper body, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Man Shot In Jersey City: Authorities A 34-year-old man was briefly hospitalized after being shot multiple times in Jersey City on the early morning of Sunday, Oct. 6, authorities said. At 3:35 a.m., the man was transported to a nearby hospital from Eastern Parkway and Garfield Avenue after he sustained non-life threatening injuries to the right buttocks, right thigh area and right wrist, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said.  He was treated and released from the hospital on Monday, Oct. 7, Wallace-Scalfione said. The investigation is ongoing, Wallace-Scalfione said.

On Friday, May 10, around 10 p.m., Jersey City police responded to a report of shots fired at Pearsall Avenue and Garfield Avenue, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Police located Resheed Wallace, a 24-year-old Jersey City resident, with a gunshot wound to his upper body, Suarez said.
