A New Brunswick man was beaten to death in the city over the weekend, authorities said. Oscar Sanchez, 34, died on Sunday, Oct. 13, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said in a news release on Tuesday, Oct. 15. New Brunswick police responded to a 911 call on Comstock Street at around 3:03 a.m. Officers found Sanchez unconscious and performed CPR on him. Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash on Route 17 in Bergen County this week. Daniel Wenzel, 37, of Milford, PA collided with another vehicle on the southbound side of the highway near the Essex Street ramp in Maywood around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, Maywood Police Detective Sgt. A 4-year-old child drowned in a pond behind a home in Middlesex County on Wednesday, Aug. 27, authorities said. Police were called to a Monroe Township home around 6:50 p.m. for a missing child, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Monroe Township Police Chief Griffin M. Banos said. Officials have identified the Pennsylvania man who drowned while tubing in on the Delaware River on Saturday, July 6. Gary M. Conley, 53, of Forks Township, was on a tube on the Delaware River when he went into the water and "did not return to the surface," said the Northampton County Coroner's Office. Two heroes in blue revived a man who'd stopped breathing. Secaucus Police Officer Michael Borrelli immediately began CPR when he and Officer Austin C. Hawxhurst arrived and found the unresponsive victim at the Harmon Cove Towers earlier this month, Police Chief Dennis Miller said.
