A 22-year-old Bergen County man was arrested last month after making swatting calls to police in Florida, authorities said. Maywood PD In August 2024, officers in south Florida responded to reports of shootings at two different residences, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said. A construction worker was hospitalized in Bergen County Tuesday morning, Jan. 14 in a worksite accident, police said. The worker, 56, was struck in the head by the bucket of an excavator while working at a construction site in the 1500 block of Valley Brook Avenue in Lyndhurst, Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said.
