'A True Hero': Vigil Honors South Jersey Crossing Guard Killed Protecting Students From Car A Burlington City school crossing guard who died while saving two children's lives was honored as a hero for his selfless dedication to others and his vibrant presence. The city held a glow vigil in memory of Bruce Morlack on Sunday, Dec. 15, the City of Burlington Police Department said in a Facebook post.
