Beloved Army Veteran, Fiancé Remembered As Loyal Protector After Fatal Saratoga Crash A devastated New York family is mourning the sudden loss of a 32-year-old Army veteran and fiancé who was killed in a motorcycle crash. Cody Groat died following a single-vehicle wreck in Saratoga County, on Swaggertown Road in Charlton, on Saturday evening, June 7, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Groat, a 2011 graduate of Burnt Hills Ballston Lake High School and proud Army paratrooper, was riding his motorcycle when he veered off Swaggertown Road and suffered devastating injuries just before 6 p.m., deputies said. Atlantic City High School Superfan Full Of 'Viking Pride' Dies: Fundraiser A man known for his passion and love for Atlantic City High School sports has died, according to a fundraising campaign. A GoFundMe page said John Bucci died on Sunday, June 2 at around 7 a.m. The man nicknamed "John John" was an Atlantic City high graduate "with Viking pride" and was last employed by the city's school district. The GoFundMe had raised more than $12,000 from at least 190 donations as of Monday, June 3.
