A Somers Point man admitted to having unregistered machine guns and modified firearms, authorities said. Michael James, 30, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Aug. 20 to possessing unregistered machine guns and other firearms, New Jersey's U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger said in a news release. James had been given a federal charge on Wednesday, May 15. Man Admits To Selling Drugs In Atlantic City Convenience Store With Teen: Prosecutors
A Galloway Township man admitted to several crimes including selling crack cocaine with a teen, authorities said. Halim Fisher, 25, pleaded guilty on Monday, Aug. 12 to unlawful possession of a handgun, eluding police, and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute. An Egg Harbor City man admitted to running an elaborate cockfighting ring at his home, authorities said. Jose Madera, 33, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Aug. 6 to several animal cruelty charges and other offenses, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. A woman was found dead along the oceanfront near the Atlantic City Boardwalk, authorities said. The woman's body was found next to a jetty behind the Flagship Resort on North Maine Avenue on Thursday, Aug. 1, a spokesperson from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office confirmed.
