Home Engulfed In Smoke In 2-Alarm Toms River Fire: FD A Toms River home was engulfed in smoke in a two-alarm fire on Thursday morning, March 5. At 9:30 a.m., firefighters responded to a structure fire on Aldo Drive in the Silverton section of Toms River and encountered smoke and fire emanating from a two-story home, Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention said. The bulk of the fire were located in the back of the home extending to the roof and attic space, firefighters said.
