Man Dies After Falling Into Water Near Route 35 Bridge: Belmar PD A person was pronounced dead after they fell into the water near the Highway 35 Bridge in Monmouth County on Thursday, Feb. 27, authorities said. At 9 p.m., officers  received a report of a subject in the water near the Highway 35 bridge, Belmar police said. Upon arrival, patrol officers immediately began searching the area under the bridge on the north side of the Belmar Marina, police said.
