In New Jersey, the tornado watch is in effect through 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 and covers Bergen, Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties in North Jersey. In Pennsylvania, the tornado watch is issued in Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Monroe, and Bucks counties. NJ Murder Victim, 21, Killed As Puppy Tried Protecting Her, Campaign Says The victim of a recent murder that rattled a small New Jersey town has been identified in various social media posts and by a campaign launched for her family as a 21-year-old animal lover. Amanda Pulver, of Hackettstown, was shot and killed on Thursday, June 27, the Warren County Prosecutor's Office said. Amanda's 8-month-old puppy, Dunkin, was also apparently killed. As reported by Daily Voice, the shooting happened that morning on Alphano Road in Independence Township.
