A 43-year-old Pleasantville man was arrested on the early morning of Sunday, Oct. 6 after being involved in a shooting in Atlantic City in August, authorities said. At 6:26 a.m., officers observed Juan Maldonado on his bicycle on the 2500 block of Pacific Avenue, Atlantic City police said. Maldonado had an active warrant out for his arrest, stemming from a shooting on Saturday, Aug. 17, on the 100 block of north Georgia Avenue that wounded a man, police said. A fugitive wanted for shooting a man in the face nearly 14 years ago in Brick Township has been captured, authorities said. Marciano Sanchez, 40, was arrested in New York City on Wednesday, Oct. 2, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. Sanchez's last known address was in Queens. Police were investigating after two men were shot in a New Brunswick neighborhood near the Rutgers University campus, authorities said.
