An elderly woman was killed in a house fire in Winslow Township, authorities announced Friday, Dec. 20. The Winslow Police Department, Fire Department, and EMS responded to reports of a dwelling fire at 47 Winding Brook Drive in Atco, New Jersey, at approximately 11:24 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, according to police. Two pedestrians were hospitalized, including one critically injured, after they were struck by a car in Gloucester City, authorities said. The man and woman, both 51 years old, were hit near the intersection of Route 130 North and Market Street, the Gloucester City Police Department said in a news release on Friday, Dec. 20. Police were asking for help after two armed suspects robbed a bank in Voorhees, authorities said. The robbery happened at the PNC Bank on Haddonfield-Berlin Road on Tuesday, Dec. 17, Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay said in a news release. A Pennsauken man will spend more than a decade in prison for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old, authorities said. Joseph Jackson, 76, was sentenced on Friday, Dec. 13 to 14 years in state prison, Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay said in a news release. He was convicted on Friday, June 28 of two counts of second-degree sexual assault and two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
