A lockdown order was lifted at Monmouth University after students were asked to shelter in place for several hours as investigators looked into a threat on campus, officials said. 6 Walgreens Stores In South Jersey Get Fake Bomb Threats: Police
Six Walgreens stores in South Jersey were among 20 nationwide to get fake bomb threats on Thursday, June 28, authorities said. One was in Evesham at 11:35 a.m. when a caller contacted the store on Route 73 reporting an explosive device was inside, Evesham Township police said in a press statement. Police evacuated the Walgreens and nearby stores and closed a portion of Route 73 while a Burlington County Sheriff’s Office K9 trained in explosive detection searched the store. Bomb Threat At South Jersey Business Closes Route 73 (

Part of Route 73 in Evesham was closed after police received a report of a bomb placed at an unidentified business, authorities said. Buildings were being evacuated and detours were in place in the area of Route 73 and Brick Road, Evesham Police Chief Walt Miller said on Facebook at about noon on Thursday, June 27. “We ask the public to plan extra travel time in this area and to be patient as we navigate this situation," Miller said. “Our goal is to ensure public safety in this area, while we investigate this situation and find a resolution to the threat.”
