Rutgers President To Resign At End Of School Year After Historic, Turbulent Tenure Jonathan Holloway will resign as president of Rutgers University at the end of the 2024-25 academic year, the school announced. The university's 21st president will step down after finishing his fifth year in office on Monday, June 30, 2025, Rutgers said in a news release on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The U.S. historian plans to take a sabbatical during the 2025-26 year for research projects before joining the Rutgers faculty full time. Cape May Court House Man Stole Cash, Items From About 12 Vehicles: Police A Cape May Court House man was accused of stealing from about a dozen vehicles, authorities said. William Colbourne, 52, was arrested in the case, the Middle Township Police Department said in a news release. He was charged after about 12 vehicle burglaries were reported in Cape May Court House between Saturday, Aug. 31, and Monday, Sept. 9. The winner was sold at the ShopRite on Route 70 East in Medford, the New Jersey Lottery said in a news release on Monday, Sept. 16. The ticket was in the Powerball drawing on Saturday, Sept. 14. Woman, 23, Killed In Millstone Township Motorcycle Crash: State Police A Monroe Township woman was killed when her motorcycle crashed into an SUV in Monmouth County, authorities said. Laura Wildner, 23, died in the crash on Friday, Sept. 13, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the wreck on County Route 1 in Millstone Township at around 4:27 p.m. Investigators said Wildner was riding east on a Yamaha motorcycle and a Ford Edge was heading east. Toms River Woman Sentenced In Roommate's Shower Rod, Tape Dispenser Killing: Prosecutors A Toms River woman will spend at least eight years in prison after admitting to her role in the death of her roommate, a former Manchester High School janitor, authorities said.
