7-Eleven Employee Shot During Robbery: Bloomfield PD
A 7-Eleven gas station attendant was shot during a robbery on Saturday, July 13, authorities said. Two men pulled up in a black sedan and demanded money from a gas station attendant, Bloomfield police said. The attendant refused to turn over the money and was shot in the leg with a black semiautomatic handgun, police said. The suspects proceeded to flee the scene, police said. The shooting remains under investigation, police said.

A Linden man was killed when his tractor-trailer crashed and exploded in Clifton, authorities said. The truck crashed into a barrier and caught fire on Route 3 West near Valley Road and Grove Street at around 9:07 a.m. on Monday, July 22, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes said in a news release. A three-alarm fire injured three firefighters and displaced 49 people in Newark on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 16, authorities said. At 12:14 p.m., firefighters responded to 263 South Orange Ave. for a fire, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. A woman was shot and four suspects were apprehended in Newark on the morning of Tuesday, July 16, authorities said. At 10:01 a.m., police observed two men exiting a stolen vehicle at S. 10th Street and South Orange Avenue, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. A woman was robbed of her purse and dragged int the street in Newark on the morning of Sunday, July 14, authorities said. At 6:10 a.m., a woman was walking on Ferry Street near Union Street when she was approached by a Black man who snatched her purse, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Two moped riders were seriously injured following a hit-and-run crash in Jersey City on the early morning of Saturday, June 29, authorities said.
