It will now cost a little less to take the train to watch the World Cup at MetLife Stadium. New Jersey Transit will be reducing round-trip rail prices to the World Cup from $150 to $105, according to The Athletic. The 30% price reduction comes after the state received support from sponsors and other sources, according to The Athletic. The fare, which includes a stop at Secaucus, is typically $12.90. Man Killed By Hudson Bergen Light Rail In Jersey City: NJ Transit
A man was struck and killed by a Hudson Bergen Light Rail train late Thursday in Jersey City, authorities said. Just before 12 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, a light rail vehicle that left West Side Avenue at 11:48 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Exchange Place at 12:24 a.m. hit an adult male trespasser near the Garfield Avenue Station, NJ Transit spokespersons said. Man Killed After Being Struck By Train In Plainfield: Authorities
A man was fatally struck by a train in Plainfield on Sunday, Aug. 3, authorities said. At 10 a.m., Raritan Valley train 5515, hit and killed the man in the vicinity of Grant Avenue just west of Plainfield Station, NJ Transit said. The victim has not been identified. No injuries were reported to the 37 customers and crew on board the train, which had departed Newark Penn Station at 9:38 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Raritan Station at 10:42 a.m., NJ Transit said. Man Fatally Struck By Train In Summit: NJ Transit
A man was fatally struck by a train near Summit Station, early Tuesday morning, May 27, authorities said. At 1:28 a.m., Morris and Essex Line train 6907, which departed New York Penn Station and was en route to Dover, struck and fatally injured the man, NJ Transit said. There were no injuries reported to the approximately 50 customers or crew on board, NJ Transit said. New Jersey Transit Police are leading the investigation.

Man Struck, Killed By NJ Transit Train In Hackensack: Officials
NJ Transit rail service was suspended along the Pascack Valley Line due to a fatal pedestrian strike in Bergen County on Thursday morning, May 22, officials said. The incident occurred around 11:36 a.m. near the Clinton Place crossing in Hackensack, NJ Transit said. Train #1624, which left Spring Valley at 10:55 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 12:05 p.m., struck and killed a man, rail officials said. Delays along NJ Transit's Morris & Essex Line were being reported due to a dump truck that struck a train Wednesday afternoon, July 31.
