A Bloomfield man was accused of trying to have sex with a Monmouth County investigator posing online as a teen boy, authorities said. Jonar Arenas, 48, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 18, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release. A Somerset man was accused of trying to get a boy to send him nude pictures and videos in a sextortion scheme, authorities said. Sebastian Romero, 27, was arrested on Friday, Aug. 2, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw said in a news release. A 26-year-old Newark man was sentenced 10 years in prison on Thursday, Aug. 1 after pleading guilty to offering two teenagers narcotics for sex in Morris County last year, authorities said. A state trooper was accused of trying to pay for sex from someone he believed was a teen girl and asking for sexual pictures, authorities said.
