Horses Extricated From Trailer In NJ Turnpike Crash, Firefighters Say
Several horses were medically treated after the trailers they were being towed in were struck on the New Jersey Turnpike Tuesday, Sept. 10, firefighters said. The Cherry Hill Fire Department said the crash happened in the southbound lanes near milepost 26, and involved a utility van and a truck towing the trailer. Pedestrian, 65, Struck By SUV, Killed At Central Jersey Intersection: Police
A Hamilton Township pedestrian was killed while crossing a busy intersection, authorities said. The 65-year-old man died at the intersection of Nottingham Way and Klockner Road on Friday, Sept. 6, the Hamilton Police Division said in a news release. The crash happened at around 9:19 p.m. Investigators said a 56-year-old Hamilton woman was driving a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe eastbound on Nottingham Way. A fundraiser has been launched to aid the family of Jay McChesney, a New Jersey father and flight nurse who died last month at 55 years old. Jay, of Hillsborough, died on Friday, Aug. 30, leaving behind his wife, Jennette and their three children, Jordan, James, and Joe. Nicknamed an "All American Hero," Jay was a founding member of the Atlantic Air 1 medevac team and was a nurse at Robert Wood Johnson after having spent 24 years serving in the Coast Guard. Passenger Jumps Out Of Moving SUV On NJ Turnpike In Bergen County: Police
One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after plunging out of a moving vehicle along the New Jersey Turnpike, police said. A Hyundai SUV was traveling north on the western spur in East Rutherford at milepost 113.2 around 9:50 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22 when the front seat passenger jumped from the moving car, NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The passenger struck the pavement and sustained serious injuries. No further information was provided.

Body Of Paramus Gym Owner, 35, Recovered From Vermont River: State Police
A 35-year-old Paramus man's body was believed to have been recovered from a river in Vermont on the afternoon of Wednesday, Aug. 14 after a multi-day search, authorities said. Tuan Baldino was initially reported missing on Saturday, Aug. 10 after swimming in Mad River in the northern part of the state. Nearly 1,000 people are without power in Barnegat Sunday morning, June 30 due to a car that ran off the road when its driver fell asleep at the wheel and struck a utility pole, police said. The 23-year-old woman crashed a 2019 Honda eastbound on West Bay Avenue, snapping the pole and leaving 1,000 homes in the dark, police said.
