Adam Sandler, Judd Apatow Spotted Filming 'Happy Gilmore 2' On NJ Golf Course "Happy Gilmore 2" has shut down Hackettstown. The highly anticipated sequel to the 1996 comedy starring Adam Sandler was spotted filming at Farmview Golf Center on East Avenue in Hackettstown on Tuesday, Sept. 17.  Community members gathered in front of the course hoping to catch a glimpse. "Happy Gilmore 2" is looking for extras for scenes recorded in Atlantic Highlands, according to a listing on Backstage. Scenes will be shot on Monday, Sept. 16. The film's crew said it wants men 18 and older to play 1990s golf tournament fans. Extras shouldn't have "super modern hairstyles" and should wear nondescript golfing or casual clothing.
