114K Car Seats Recalled Over Injury Risks For Infants
More than 114,000 infant car seats are being recalled because their carrying handles can partially detach, increasing the risk that a child could fall and be injured.
Britax Child Safety issued the recall for 114,660 B-Safe infant car seats, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report submitted on Thursday, Aug. 20. The recall covers several models, including B-Safe Gen 2, B-Safe Gen 2 Flexfit, B-Safe Gen 2 Flexfit Plus, B-Safe 35, B-Safe Ultra, and Endeavours.

Numerous animals were found dead inside an unsanitary New Jersey home after police were called to check on a resident, authorities said.
Officers responded to a home on Douglas Street and entered because of a foul odor, Woodbridge Police Chief Brian Murphy said.
Inside, officers found numerous dead animals, including dogs in crates, hamsters, and lizards, Murphy said.
The Woodbridge Fire Department and Middlesex County Haz-Mat responded to the home, and the Office of Emergency Management was notified, according to Murphy. Animal control removed the dead animals.

Multiple gunmen opened fire on a block party attended by about 100 people in Trenton early Sunday, Aug. 30, killing two and wounding eight others, authorities said.
At 12:23 a.m, Trenton police were called to the 100 block of Locust Street for a shooting in progress, and found several victims, who were taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta Marbery said.
