Vehicle Stolen, Cars Broken Into Overnight In Phillipsburg: Police
Police are investigating after a rash of vehicle crimes in Phillipsburg overnight on Thursday, Feb. 22. Between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m., a car was stolen on the 300 block of Thomas Street, Phillipsburg police said on Facebook. Two vehicle thefts occurred on the 300 block of Warren Street and the 100 block of Broad Street, respectively, police said. Police are asking anyone with information or private surveillance cameras that captured footage of the above incident to contact 908-835-2002.

Pedestrian Airlifted After Crash Near Phillipsburg School (

A pedestrian was airlifted after being hit by a car in Phillipsburg Wednesday evening, developing reports say. The pedestrian was struck near Phillipsburg Elementary School on Warren Street shortly before 5:30 p.m., according to initial and unconfirmed reports. A medical helicopter was requested to take the victim to a nearby hospital with a landing zone at the accident scene, the report said. Crews Work To Repair Blown Transformer Affecting Power To More Than 2,200 Phillipsburg Homes
UPDATE: The power has been restored. --------------------------------- Crews are working to repair a blown transformer that was affecting power to more than 2,200 Phillipsburg homes Thursday afternoon, town officials said. JCP&L was at the site of the blown transformer at Warren Street and Heckman Street around 2:50 p.m., according to a post on the town’s official Facebook page. “They are working hard to restore it ASAP!” town officials said.
