A White House Station man was arrested and charged on Monday, July 8, with stealing from a scrapyard multiple times, authorities said.
In December 2023 and last month, Raimos Scrap Iron and Metal in Stanhope told officers they had video surveillance of a person breaking into and stealing from their scrapyard, Byram Township police.

A Warren County man was arrested after pointing a loaded gun and threatening to kill, speeding away in the victim’s car and initiating a high-speed chase just as police arrived, authorities said.
Khamtoune Singto, 47, of Stewartsville, is accused of pointing a “loaded.22 caliber Mossberg 715T Long Rifle at the victim, threatening to shoot and kill the victim” during a dispute on Monday, Nov. 6, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said.

UPDATE: Three Newark men have been charged by New Jersey State Police with shooting and killing a fellow Brick City resident and leaving his body alongside Route 80.
Two of them – William Dixon, 24, and Nishir Rios-Figueroa, 30 – were already in custody in connection with other crimes, State Police said on Tuesday. They captured the third, Mustafa Manns, 28, in Newark.

The former Mansfield Township mayor has been charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old child for at least two months in Morris and Warren counties, authorities said.
Ted J. Tomaszewski, 53, "engaged in multiple sex acts" with the victim in Mount Olive and Hackettstown between Nov. 1, 2022 and Jan. 2, 2023, according to a release from the Warren County Prosecutor's Office and Hackettstown police.
Tomaszewski, also a a recent candidate for Warren County commissioner, was charged with sexual assault, luring, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Centenary University First Lady Dies After Being Struck By Hackettstown Hit-And-Run Driver
Centenary University First Lady Jeanne (Picariello) Murphy died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Hackettstown, authorities confirmed.
Murphy, 70, was struck on Reese Avenue near First Avenue around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, police said.
She was rushed to Hackettstown Medical Center and flown to Morristown Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead around 12 p.m. Sunday.
The driver, Jefferson Chimbo-Pelaez, 25, of Hackettstown, was later located, taken into custody and was being held in the Warren County Jail, police said.

An Essex County man admitted to being paid $500 to shoplift more than $6,000 worth of electrical wiring from a Warren County Home Depot store, authorities said.
Ronald McKenzie, of Quaback Avenue in Irvington, is accused of shoplifting spools of electrical wiring from Home Depot in Mansfield Township during two incidents in July 2022, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said in a release with local officials on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
The amount shoplifted totals approximately $6,200, Pfeiffer said.

Mahogany D. Caldwell, of Trenton, was identified as the suspect in an investigation into the August 2 theft of $1,793.45 worth of fragrances from ULTA Beauty in the Shoppes At Flemington, local police said.
