One Warren County high school has temporarily transitioned to fully remote learning after a weekend COVID-19 outbreak. Students and staff at Warren Hills Regional High School in Washington Township will participate in fully remote classes from Tuesday, March 23 through Wednesday, April 7, district officials said in an email. All Phillipsburg schools have transitioned to remote learning after 15 individuals tested COVID-19 positive over the weekend, officials said. The remainder of Hackettstown High School's football season has been cancelled after an additional student tested positive for COVID-19. The school had been closed with students participating in all-virtual classes for the next two weeks. Staff members have the option to return to the building to teach virtually on Nov. 2, while Hackettstown Middle Schoolers will return to class Nov. 9. 19: First Case Announced In Warren County
Warren County’s first case of COVID-19 was confirmed Tuesday afternoon, authorities said. The patient, a 56-year-old man from Mansfield Township, was treated at Hackettstown Medical Center. “While this is understandably concerning to residents, we will continue to work with county and local officials to help limit the spread of COVID-19 in our communities,” said Pete Summers, Health Officer of the Warren County Health Department.
