A two-alarm blaze ripped through a Hunterdon County barn and extended into two adjacent buildings on Monday afternoon, Oct. 16, responders said. The fire broke out in the village of Sergeantsville shortly after 12 p.m., prompting a response from crews in Quakertown and Stockton. Firefighters found the barn fully engulfed in flames that required more than 3,000 gallons of water to douse. Meanwhile, a special call supplemented the municipal water source in the area, the Quakertown Fire Company said. Crews operated at the scene for about 90 minutes. A truck driver was taken to a nearby hospital after crashing into a tree in Hunterdon County Thursday, August 3, authorities said. The crash occurred on Route 29 north of Stockton around 7 p.m., according to the Stockton Fire Company. Driver Hurt As SUV Hits Barrier And Flips In Hunterdon County: State Police
An SUV driver was taken to a nearby hospital after the vehicle struck a concrete barrier in Hunterdon County and flipped on Thursday, May 25, state police said. The crash occurred on State Highway 29 northbound in Stockton shortly before 6:15 p.m., NJSP Lt. Lawrence Peele told Daily Voice. A Dodge Journey struck a concrete traffic barrier and overturned near County Road 523. The driver was taken to Hunterdon Medical Center for treatment of a leg injury, Peele said.
