Jersey Shore Lottery Winners Split $770K Jackpot
Two lucky tickets sold in Middlesex County matched all five numbers in Tuesday's Jersey Cash 5 drawing to split the $770,036 jackpot, officials said.
Each winning ticket, sold by stores in South Plainfield and Spotswood, is worth $385,018, New Jersey Lottery officials said.
The winning tickets were sold at Quick Chek, 317 Durham Ave. in South Plainfield and Shoprite of Spotswood in 380 Summerhill Road, Spotswood.

The owner of several South Jersey ShopRite stores and a pastor from Bayonne are among the 1,700 coronavirus deaths in New Jersey, Gov. Phil Murphy announced Thursday as cases climbed to 51,027
"The number of cases by county are doubling," the governor said.
Nearly 7,400 residents remain hospitalized with COVID-19, Murphy said, including 1,523 in intensive care.

Sussex County Man With Arrest Record Blames Black Man For Covid-19 Pandemic, Police Say
A Sussex County who once threatened to kidnap a JCP&L worker during a power outage was taken into custody again, this time for blaming a black man for the COVID-19 pandemic, said authorities who charged him.
Authorities responding to ShopRite on reports of a bias incident Sunday morning found Robert A. Winter, 65, of Vernon, had used racial slurs while blaming a black man -- in part -- for the spread of coronavirus, Franklin police said in a release.
Winter was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment and bias intimidation.
