A man was arrested Monday, March 21 after bringing a gun into a Morris County administration building, authorities said. William Cole, 53, walked through the security checkpoint at the entrance to the Morris County Administration and Records Building located on Court Street in Morristown for an appointment with his probation officer, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office said. Sheriff: $1,000 Reward Offered For Info On Urn With Ashes Stolen From Morris County Doorstep
Morris County Sheriff’s CrimeStoppers are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information about an urn holding cremated ashes that was stolen from the doorstep of a Mount Olive apartment. A package containing the urn — which holds the ashes of the victim’s father — was stolen from the Village Green Apartment Complex in Budd Lake sometime between 12:50 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Feb. 26, Sheriff James M. Nine Inmates, 20 Morris County Jail Workers Test Positive For Coronavirus
Nine inmates and 20 staff members have tested positive for coronavirus at the Morris County Jail, including one corrections officer who returned to work Monday, officials said. Several other of the 141 inmates are awaiting test results, and other employees are expected to return to work this week, Sheriff James M. Gannon said.
