Man, 45, Airlifted After Dousing Hunterdon County Porch Fire
A 45-year-old Hunterdon County resident was flown to a nearby hospital after dousing a fire on his front porch on Tuesday night, Dec. 12, police said. The blaze broke out at a home on Allerton Road in Clinton around 8:20 p.m., Clinton Township Police said. Officers arrived and found that the man was able to extinguish the flames but had been injured in the process. The man was subsequently flown to Saint Barnabas Medical Center for further treatment. 62-Year-Old Man Dead, 2 Critical In Morris County Weekend House Fire
A 62-year-old man was killed and two others were seriously injured in a weekend fire in Morris County, authorities tell Daily Voice. Gregory Balbirnie was found dead while two other victims rescued, a male and female, were taken to Saint Barnabas Medical Center in the Saturday, Dec. 10 fire on Cypress and Elm places in Randolph, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said. Records show Balbirnie previously lived in Downington, PA. He worked as a realtor in Exton for the past several years, his LinkedIn profile shows. The fire remains under investigation.

Man Burns Face After Trying To Light Cigarette Sparking Oxygen Tank Fire
A Newark man was taken to the hospital with burns after an apparent oxygen tank fire, authorities said. Firefighters responded to the 60s block of Mount Pleasant Avenue on a call of an oxygen tank rupture around 8:05 a.m. Saturday, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose. While there was no fire, the man had burns on his face and was subsequently taken to Saint Barnabas Medical Center, according to Ambrose and RLS Media. The man had reportedly been trying to light a cigarette while oxygen was being administered, which started a fire, RLS Media says.

Firefighters rescued Mary Frey, 77, from the Washington Borough blaze, which broke out at 82 Youmans Ave. around 9 a.m. Saturday. A multifamily home in Guttenberg where a woman suffered critical injuries in a fire had three illegal apartments, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.
