Driver, 19, Killed In Route 80 Crash
A 19-year-old driver was killed in an early-morning Route 80 crash when he rear-ended a box truck stopped in the shoulder, authorities said. Cameron Ray, of Flanders, was heading west in a Subrau when he rear-ended the truck near milepost 38.2 in Denville around 5:40 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said. Ray died as a result of the crash while the box truck driver suffered minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available.

Fleeing Driver Hits Officer, Arrested At NJ Costco: Police
A 27-year-old Denville man was arrested and charged after he struck a police officer while fleeing on Sunday, Oct. 20, authorities said. While officers were conducting a traffic stop on Indian Road, it was discovered the driver, Liam Harrigan, had an active NCIC Warrant out of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, Denville police said. As officers attempted to take Harrigan into custody, he fled from them in his vehicle, police said. A driver was hospitalized after his vehicle overturned on Route 80 in Morris County on the evening of Thursday, Oct. 10, authorities said. The driver of a Nissan Rogue lost control of his vehicle while driving on Route 80 East in Mount Olive Township, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The car veered off the right side of the roadway and overturned into the woods, Marchan said. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Marchan said. At 11:52 a.m., troopers responded to Route 80 eastbound at mile 42 for the collision between three passenger vehicles, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver of a tractor trailer was airlifted to the hospital in a Route 80 crash early Friday, July 12 in Warren County, police said. The 22-year-old Lodi, CA man was heading east when he ran off the left side of the roadway, struck the guardrail, went into a ditch, and collided with a tree just after 6:40 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Troopers responded to a report of a dog running on Route 80 eastbound in Allamuchy Township, Jeffrey Lebron a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. A Paterson driver who was stopped for speeding on Route 80 in Nebraska was caught with 20 pounds of cocaine, state troopers said. Pablo Suruy Hernandez, 40, had the coke stashed in various compartments of his BMW X5 when he was stopped in York County around noontime Saturday, March 23, according to the Nebraska State Patrol. Hernandez remained held Tuesday in the York County Jail, some 1,300 miles from Paterson. He's charged with both possession and possession with the intent to deliver the drugs.

Four Juveniles Hospitalized In Route 80 SUV Crash: State Police
Four juveniles and an adult were hospitalized in a double SUV crash on Route 80 Wednesday, Nov. 15, state police said. A Jeep SUV and a Honda SUV were heading westbound when they collided near milepost 29 in Roxbury around 1:45 a.m., NJSP Detective I Jeffrey Lebron told Daily Voice. The Jeep driver and its four passengers were taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation of minor injuries, Lebron said. No other injuries were reported in the crash, which remains under investigation.
