Several Hanover Township police officers were injured after they tried to detain a man at a Red Carpet Inn on Friday, Aug. 16, authorities said. Authorities in Morris County are investigating the death of a 6-month-old infant on Wednesday, July 17. Police were called to a parking lot near South Ridgedale Avenue at Route 10 in East Hanover around 1:30 p.m. where they found the baby girl in a parked vehicle, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll said. A 27-year-old Morristown man was arrested after he led police on a high-speed pursuit through Denville on the early morning of Thursday, Jan. 25. An emergency gas leak shut down a Morris County intersection and evacuated two homes on Friday, May 26, according to police and developing reports. Initial and unconfirmed reports said a gas line was struck on Mt. Pleasant Avenue in East Hanover around 10:30 a.m., requiring crews to clear two homes. A crash with a traffic signal down delayed motorists in Morris County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 14 on Route 10 in Roxbury Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. A Morris County man was charged with assault by auto and several other offenses following a serious crash on Route 10, authorities said. Bryan Ramirez, 36, was intoxicated and using his cell phone when he caused a crash with injuries on Route 10 west in Denville on Sunday, June 5, Denville Police said. Ramirez, of Dover, was arrested and charged with assault by auto, DWI, reckless driving, careless driving, use of cellphone, and unsafe lane change, police said. He was later released to a sober adult and is scheduled to appear in court.

That's a wrap for the Cinépolis Cinemas in Succasunna. The Roxbury Mall's movie theater will be closing Sunday less than three years after taking over at the Route 10 location.
