Three Arrested After Drug Deal Gone Bad: Hanover Township PD
Three people were arrested after a man was assaulted by a firearm during a drug deal in Whippany on Saturday, Oct. 12, authorities said. Officers initially responded to a report of a gunshot wound at the Red Carpet/Scottish Inn 1255 Route 10 East, Hanover Township police said. It was determined the victim was not shot, but struck in the head with a handgun and robbed, police said. Following an investigation, three people were arrested, police said. A 32-year-old Rockaway Borough man was arrested and charged on Tuesday, Sept. 3 with distributing cocaine and a firearm in Morris County over the course of four months authorities said. Timothy Angle, a 64-year-old Rockaway resident died from his injuries following a motorcycle crash in Thursday, July 4 in Lafayette Township, authorities said. Angle was riding his Victory motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Monroe Road when he veered off the roadway, overturned, crashed into a tree and was ejected from the vehicle, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Burglar Arrested After Foot Pursuit In North Jersey Town, Police Say
A 29-year-old Rockaway resident was arrested for burglary following a foot pursuit in Fairfield on Tuesday, July 2, authorities said. At 9:35 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle burglary at a business on Daniel Road East, Fairfield police said in a release. Man Airlifted To Hospital After Car Overturns On Route 80 In Morris County:

A 27-year-old Rockaway man was seriously injured after a two-car crash caused his vehicle to overturn on Route 80 on Thursday, March 21, authorities said. At 7:34 p.m., on Route 80 west in Roxbury Township, a Ford vehicle collided with the back of a Dodge, ran off the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned, Troy McNair, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver of the Ford suffered serious injuries and was medevacked to an area hospital, McNair said. No other injuries were reported and the crash remains under investigation, McNair said.

A freshman at Morris Hills High School is in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle on Thursday, Feb. 22 on Route 46 in Rockaway, according to a fundraiser set up to support his family. Emmanuel Ramnarain sustained a traumatic brain injury and is at Morristown Medical Center, Kristyn Dietrich, a family friend of Ramnarain's and the organizer of the fundraiser, said. The 18-year-old driver ejected in a Route 287 crash over the weekend is facing a long road to recovery. Kamil D. Nowak, of Rockaway, was heading south in the express lanes when his Infiniti ran off the road to the left and struck multiple trees around 1:25 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 in Bridgewater, New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said. Nowak was ejected and rushed to the hospital, where he has remained since and undergone multiple surgeries, according a GoFundMe campaign. The campaign says Nowak will face a long road to recovery.
