A New Jersey man allegedly beat his mom to death after she tried to stop him from slicing a tattoo off of his leg, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice. Gloucester Township police were called to the Doran family's Blackwood home around 10:20 a.m. Saturday, March 2, as Daily Voice previously reported. A Pennsylvania man was slapped with charges after police say he tried to burn his mother’s car and started a fire in a nearby home while inside. Officers responding to a disturbance report in the 900 block of Carlton Avenue in Bethlehem were told by a woman that her son had just doused her car in gasoline and tried to set it on fire shortly before 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, police said. Johnathan Park, 33, was arrested after he attempted to make fireworks on his bed in his apartment in 500 block of Geneva Drive, according to police. An Allentown police officer quickly extinguished a woman whose jacket was set on fire with gasoline, apprehending the suspect and sustaining injuries in the process, authorities said.
