Manning, who lives in Summit, was denied entry to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. Some legendary New York Giants are getting together to sign some books in Bergen County. Leonard Marshall and Harry Carson, who were on the 1986 New York Giants team that won Super Bowl XXI will be signing copies of the new book "Once a Giant" at Bookends in Ridgewood on Thursday, May 16 at 7 p.m. Carson, a linebacker, played 13 seasons for Big Blue, making nine Pro Bowls and four All-Pro teams. New York Giants Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor was charged in Florida with failing to register as a sex offender, according to multiple news reports. TMZ Sports broke the news that Taylor, 62, was booked and released by the Broward County Sheriff's Office late Thursday. Taylor was listed as a sex offender a decade ago after admitting he had sex with a 16-year-old girl who he said he thought was 19.
